I participated to a competition with this piece in CMA site. Here how it was commented:
“M.C. Gökşen’s work is always happy, bright, cheerful and uplifting. This is indeed an affectionate tribute to your father Gökşen- I wonder what he would have thought of it? From your description it sounds as though he would have been very amused and flattered!
Here in England we have an expression and might say: “I could talk to my daughter until I was blue in the face!” – is that what is going on here?!
(I notice that we are getting lots of ‘multples’ such as Laurie Gilson’s Bird of Paradise / Wacky punk bird Caroline Thomas’s Robin / Christmas Pudding (both included in this challenge) …which along with the eyes and eyebrows / suns and clouds shown here …which makes me wonder if these challenges are filtering through into our consciousness?)
Anyway, this mosaic of a father reminds me of the following:
One evening a little girl and her parents were sitting around the table eating supper. The little girl said, “Daddy, you’re the boss, aren’t you?” Her Daddy smiled, pleased, and said yes. The little girl continued “That’s because Mummy put you in charge, right?” ”
